Sailing itineraries and daily programs are subject to change due to weather and seaconditions, availability of safe anchorage, government regulations or in response to other factors. Every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned.

This itinerary subject for reference only. The actual itinerary will be provided and updated every day. On the day one, when you checked in and after diner every day for t next day. The briefing will be conducted by Cruise Manager after consulting with the captain to include all factors related to safety of our boat, passengers, and crews. The itinerary will also be written on the board for everyone’s reference.

Schedule on the Liveaboard can be full with activities. Obviously, this is your holiday. You are free to choose should you want to skip the dive or not joining group programs andrest. There will be no substitute for other activities besides group activities.

While we offer a very high care diving experience in that our staff carry gear, perform assembly and changeovers as well as monitor guest comfort and safety; all divers areexpected to be the primary steward for their personal wellbeing which includes honestly disclosing their experience level and adhering to the standards of their certification, and conducting themselves within their capabilities. Carry digital copy of your latest dive certificate as well Nitrox dive certificate should you require to dive with Nitrox. You cannot carry out diving activities if you fail to show proof that you are a certified diver.

We advise our guest to arrive one day early so they can well rest in Sorong Hotel. We will pick up the guest at Hotel Lobby at 10AM to transfer to the vessel at the departure date.

Should our guests flying in and arrive at the day of departure, our crew will be waiting outside the arrival hall according to their morning flight schedule. They will escort you to the Pearl of Papua. After a 15 minutes ride you will be onboard the vessel, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place before departure, take this time tofamiliarize yourself with the facilities and make yourself comfortable.

For those arriving from Wasai, the capital city of Raja Ampat, they must arrive one day earlier so we can pick them up from the hotel in Sorong at 10am on the day of the boat’s departure.

Our boat departs from Usaha Mina Private Jetty, Sorong at 11AM.

Lunch and dinner will be served while heading towards Raja Ampat National Park. We will sail from Sorong to Misool roughly 12 hours journey. When time and all factors permitting, we will have check dive at Matan Island.

If you fly from afar and arrive on the same morning as your departure date and feel tired and unfit to dive, our Cruise Manager has the right to prohibit you from diving that day for safety reasons.

Misool is one of the most fascinating areas of Raja Ampat. It contains some of the most amazing underwater seascapes imaginable – deep ravines and canyons give way to unsurpassed coral coverage and unrivaled color. Do not be surprised if you encounter Gorgonian Sea Fans exceeding 3 meters in diameter!

That said, while the reefs are truly breathtaking down in Misool, remember to check the blue every now and again as it is quite common to encounter oceanic manta rays, reaching up to seven meters in length, on many dives. Brace yourself, the diving is about to get incredible.

One of the dives, Magic Mountain, is a fairly reliable cleaning station for oceanic manta rays. We sail down to the furthers South of Raja Ampat. Small dot on the map called Daram.

We wrapped up the diving to sail and begin the long journey from Misool to Paynemo – Central-North of Raja Ampat. It takes to fourteen hours sailing.

Spread over nearly 700 square kilometers of ocean, just above the midway point on Raja Ampat’s north-south axis, Fam and Penemu’s vivid coral gardens revel in the nutrient rich water brought forth from the Dampier Straits. As such, the hard coral seascape at Melissa’s Garden is virtually unrivaled.

After having fun drifting away with current at Penemu, the Pearl of Papua will head towards Wayag – approximately a nine-hour journey.

The Pearl of Papua will moor in front of Mt. Pindito. If you want to look out the beautiful scenic of the islands you need to do the hike. We will do it in the morning to avoid the crowd and save us from the heat and scorching sun. Bring your water, cameras, wear your good walking shoes, a hat, sunblock and maybe sunglasses – the views are spectacular!

Day four will be full packed with activities. After morning hike, you will come down to the vessels for quick change and we go straight to the remote post of Wayag where we will swim and snorkel with the shark in the beach. Bring your mask, snorkel, and sunbl ock. We carry your breakfast and we can have simple picnic at the beach.

Our speed boats will cruise around the bay exploring hidden areas, thus affording you an up-close view of the spectacular limestone karst formations to reach the beach. It takes 30 minutes slow ride with speed boat.

After an hour snorkeling and breakfast, we take you to the vessel back (5 -10 minutes speedboat rides), rest and have lunch on the ship. We need to organize tight schedule since we want all from the Wayag beauty (hike, beach and dive as well). It takes us 3-4 hours sailing down to the best dive site around the area to have a chance to see manta after snorkeling with sharks.

Morning activities: Climbing to Pindito Hill in Wayag island. For those who exercise regularly, this is relatively easy hike and can be reached in 15 -20 minutes. Going down the mountain might be a little challenging because it’s steep and the karts are sharp.

The Dampier Straits contain some of Raja Ampat’s most action -packed dives. There are a number of wonderful sites in the area, many of which are exposed to and best -dived when the current is running.

Finally, what better way to end your diving expedition than to have a barbeque on an uninhabited island? The crew will prepare a wonderful meal for you to enjoy as you watch thousands of fruit bats begin their journey to neighboring islands in search of food. Barbecue at the island.

Your last day of diving will be done by calculating safety in mind. You will have two dives in the shallows before lunch time. So, it is safe for some of you who want to fly out on the next day. You will have a “no flight time” of 18 -20 hours. Our diving activity on day 7 consist of 2 dives. You can book morning flight on the next day.

After breakfast, prepare for disembarkation. Official check out time is 10 AM. From here you will be transferred to your next destination. Your diving journey has ended and we certainly look forward to welcoming you.

At some point during your trip, you should expect to have to deal with any one of all the following: downdrafts, upwellings, negative entries and effective deployment of a reef hook.

  4. The Pearl of Papua has No Glove Policy to prevent you touching the reef and living underwater creatures and all divers must have dive insurance during the trip. It is mandatory in Raja Ampat.

  5. We strongly advise you to bring your own dive equipment with a dive computer and dive torch for safety, comfort, and familiarization. When you rent form us, ensure you know the size of your equipment and let us know in advance so we can prepare the proper fit. Full set dive gear not include a dive computer are rented in a package price regardless your use.

  6. Total dive: between 26 up to 29 dives included check dive (all factors permitting )

We will be having the “jetty dive” day. Jetty in Raja Ampat is not like other in the world. Rich, colorful, vibrant marine life. The visibility is always a good bet in here. Two villages which famous for its jetty are Sawandarek and Yenbuba village. After the easy colorful dive let do some drift dive in Sardine reef.

After breakfast, prepare for disembarkation. Official check out time is 10 AM. From here you will be transferred to your next destination. Your diving journey has ended and we certainly look forward to welcoming you.

  1. Sailing itineraries and daily programs are subject to change due to weather and sea conditions, availability of safe anchorage, government regulations or in response to other factors. Every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned.
  2. Experience level: Advanced/intermediate and above, currents: can be strong, water temperature: 27 C – 30 C, visibility: 10 m – 40 m, depth: 5 m – 30 m.
  3. Additionally, we highly encourage all divers to bring hooks or at least be familiar with their use. Currents can be strong in Raja Ampat. At some point during your trip, you should expect to have to deal with any one of all of the following: downdrafts, upwellings, negative entries and effective deployment of a reef hook.
  4. The Pearl of Papua has No Glove Policy and all divers must have dive insurance during the trip.
  5. We strongly advise you to bring your own dive equipment with a dive torch for comfort and familiarization.
  6. Total dive: between 16 up to 19 dives included check dive (all factors permitting)

  • We strongly advise you to bring your own dive equipment for comfort and familiarization and that The Pearl of Papua has a strict NO GLOVE POLICY.
